The Martian - Irreversible Decision?

In the martian, there are two major explosions in the book. There actually might be even more than that. I think there's probably three or four. So is that kind of like the, again, maybe said already, but the consequences of the decision continue to grow and grow and grow? Yes. Because the consequences of them, theyill have to be high, right?
