The Evolution of Prestige

In a new book, Jonathan Heinrich talks about the emergence of Homo sapiens. He calls out this thing that he called prestige, or I think it's maybe a term of art in that universe. And what happens in a prestige hierarchy is, let's say there's an older male who has some particular skill that they're good at much better than me. That reciprocity of relationship creates this externality. This is like a big part of what makes us able to be effective as a species.
