Gramsci, like many of his generation, comes out of he is a fordest Marxist. He thought they were rebuilding a new industrial world of plenty and post poverty in some kind of ways. I don't really see much of the roots for a kind of ecological Gramsci. It's one of the great theorists of the specificity of particular situations.
