Are You Just a Bag of Chemicals?

When you're told that things are not as they seem with respect to gravity or the way diseases spread, you are not delivering the same kind of insult. Whereas if you say things are not in your mind like interpersonal love or parental love or spiritual experience, you are often explicitly saying there's another explanation entirely. And my experiences, when you talk about atheists under research and wider atheists, often they get there. You know, hackles up nou nobody wants to cherish beliefs to be put under the microscope by somebody like me, not even me.
