Is Your Child's Behavior Emotionally Immature?
When you introduce the concept of emotionally immature parents, is it like a light bulb for them going off? When i'm working with someone in psychotherapy, i'm always approaching that person like ah, in a state of openness. These are people who have not been a attended to. They've not been understood or gotten to know by a parent. So if it came up that the behaviour was glaringly emotionally immature, i would definitely go for it. It's actually pretty rare that i give my whole speel about emotional immaturity. Um, it comes out naturally according to what the person has been through.
