The History of Mental Health
In the 19th century particularly, it was seen as feminising. So where you do get depictions of men having mental health problems, they're often seen as more feminised than other types of men and sometimes look down on in that case too. There's still certain people that feel that men should have a stiff upper lip and not share their feelings. It's interesting that that's potentially come from that point in history.
