The Puzzle of Collective Leadership in China

How the heck did we get that one decade from 2002 to 2012, where we saw some collective leadership sort of consolidate? Is the puzzle Hujintao or is the puzzle Xi Jinping? That's a great question. In retrospect, the puzzle is more how did we ever get this period of collective leadership? I mean, so when in the book that I'm writing, how is basically exactly about this?
