Solomon’s Officials and Administration in Kings - Koert van Bekkum
Biblical World
What's the Relationship Between History and Archaeology?
Kurt Schulte: First Kings 4 is basically a list of administrative officials, generally how it's understood for Solomon. It's kind of put in amongst his rise to power. A lot of scholarship has been done on this passage from looking at it archeologically, historically, historiographically and many different kinds of questions come up with this but Kurt thinks you do a really great job of bridging the gap between those historical discussions and literary discussions and the archaeological discussions.
