When you're making offerings unconsciously to any person when you're turning them into the higher power, that is a sacrificial process. And in my personal view, it's a demonic one. You have to be conscious even about why you're offering yourself to a divine, consciously offering to a divine being. That's got to be conscious because that's not safe. But the people, that's a fatal masochism.
