Turbo Tax Free Tax Prep

For the next 20 years, justin says and to it, tried to insure that as few people as possible used the truly free version of its product. In those versions, if you were unlucky enough to have the wrong tax forms, you would hit a pay wall and have to pay 50 hundred bucks to finish the process. So this happened to millions and millions of people. How many? A treasury inspector general tried to answer that question after some of our reporting. And the number they came up with for tax year 20 19 was that roughly 14 million tax payers paid for tax prep even though they were actually eligible to get identical tax preps oftwere for free.
