Teachers should reward students who are good at different things, and that can be rewarded. A positive school culture is one where individual differences are recognized as well as learning styles. Michael was expected to fit into a square peg in a round hole when he went to high school because of his intelligence. He's seen examples like this all over the U.S., but it doesn't have to happen in every classroom.
