The Second Benefit of Consistent Writing to Students
The familiarity for students allows them to ocus on the content. And i think that's especially valuable at the secondary level, or in other situations where kids have multiple teachers throughout the same day. It just sort of er, you know, helps hem to remember what's expected instead of having to spend so much time figuring out what it is you want from them exactly. All o my exit tickets start with the same two or three questions. We follow the same basic format for all our writing assignments. That kind of consistency allows them to get used to the process and do their best work along the way.
