Christian theologians would affirm with Orthodox Christianity that there is only one God. And that's Jesus. So these prior appearances of God in human form in these theophanes were just that. They weren't genuine incarnations. That didn't take place until the conception in Mary's womb. A pollinerious did generate some controversy by thinking that somehow the human nature of Christ was already included in divinity.
