Writer Dan Dwayne recalls seeing swastika spray painted on a seawall in Santa Cruz. "It was sort of later over the years that I started to see more swastika imagery in surf culture," he says. Mickey thinks wave enforcement is a military operation, a dogfight out of World War II. A mezzer-schmidt is a German fighter plane built using slave labor and concentration camps.
