The Role of Learning From Scratch in the Path to AGI
Do you think there's still a role for that very simple level of learning from scratch? Oh absolutely. I was talking about the path to AGI basically or to really intelligent systems. That's one axis. And obviously in that same context, learning communication protocols from scratch when it's required as part of the task specification is still going to be a necessity. But we will be using large language models to generate data, to help the exploration task, to perhaps generate environments, to come up with high level plans and so on.
