President Xi Jinping walked out with six other colleagues at the Standing Committee of the Politburo. Li Chang, the Party Chief of Shanghai, was ranked the second and he was the first one to follow. This somehow did come as a surprise to the broader public becauseLi Chang has long been a very closely associated with President Xi Jinping. He suffered some serious setback during the two months long lockdown in Shanghai.
