Are You Fused With Your Thoughts or Your Emotions?
Act is more just about the awareness write its. It's like a mindfulness skill where you're noticing your thoughts as mental events without judgment. Sometimes people are just too closely identified with their thoughts or their feelings, and then they don't have the distance to observe those experiences from something of a distance. So instead of telling them to shut up, one of the things that i like to encourage people to do is actually thank them.
