Education Reform - What's the Key Message That Emerged From All of This?
I think it's about breadth that our education system has become too narrow, too narrowly focused on one form of success. And that means it's not drawing out the talent of every child and also giving businesses the things they need. So we're not preparing children for the jobs of the future. We had surveys down of businesses which found that 85% either have or predicting skill shortages. The things that the economy needs are creativity, curiosity, empathy, teamwork, communication skills.
