How Much Do You Repay?
So, let's imagine you have borrowing of 10,000 pounds when you leave university. You repay 9% of everything you earn over 25,000 pounds. So, if you earn 30,000 pounds and that threshold will go up eventually, but on the current threshold, you would repay 450 pounds a year. Now, imagine your debt is 60,000 pound. How much do you repay? You repay 450. You still repay 450 pounds. They put tuition fees up to a million quid a year. You owe 3 million pounds when you left university. And they're just scared the life out of your life.
