Getting Honest Feedback Is Imperative

How hard you're going to have to work is where you are on the bell shaped curve. Getting honest feedback however you can do that is imperative because if you don't know where you stand, it's not safe. How do you go about designing a really complex image? I'm currently trying to illustrate a character stepping into a world that's populated by characters from children's literature.
