Is Cosplay a Gateway to WICA?

Do you think there's any connection between like WICA and everything you're describing? Is cosplay like a gateway to something or vice versa? It can be. I mean, just like anime can even be a gateway into rich. So what's interesting is when you look at WICA, some of these pictures and things you'll see are people in heavy makeup that make them look like fairies with prosthetic ears - so there's this element of fantasy that's in there.
