There are two sides of things. It's your professional path and then your personal path is like, you find friends with which you enjoy talking about a particular subject. Also, I think as a developer, you have different resource material that you tend to use. These meetups also filter it for you at times where like, okay, well, this is something amazing that we discovered in the JavaScript community or whatnot. So yeah, that's how I feel about it.
