Is the Bank of England in a Position Where Inflation Is So High That They're Trying to Find It?
The Bank of England has just started its bond purchases again. Are the central banks going to be forced by economic stability concerns to reverse course and loosen monetary policy before the job of fighting inflation is finished? And are we going to get runaway inflation? Because they can't blow up the financial system just because they're trying to fight inflation. Like they could be boxed in. They could be in checkmate as Lynne Olden put it.
