High Fructose Corn Syrup Causes Childhood Asthma

Excessed absorbed fructose reacts with other stuff in the guts of certain kids to provoke an immune response that ultimately results in an asthma attack. This property is not unique to high fructose corn syrup any food that has excess free fructose I.e. more fructose than glucose. There's simply far more fructose in a can of Coke than there is in a carrot So the soda is probably more likely to give you problems.
