David Bianculli: Amy wax's public statements are protected by the First Amendment. But he says her more public statements created a hostile environment when she was in the classroom. BiancullI: I think that is a Trojan horse to basically get rid of academic freedom entirely if anything a professor says about any topic of controversy could make a student feel that they can't do their job or evoke their tenure and so it just ends academic freedom.
