The Problem With Plain Language
Anthropologists of indigenous cultures all over the world know that if you if oral tradition says a thing happened in a place, and then you go and you dig that place up, that you find lots of evidence of that thing happening there. So here we have this grammar book that is absolutely swashbuckling. It's a it's a first rate work of ethnography. And David is making meaning among these people who are the descendants of these pirates and these Malagasy women.
