How to Put the Brakes on Stress

The vagus nerve is one of the major way stations in your parasympathetic nervous system. It puts the brakes on stress because a lot of people who have had trauma, whether physical or even mental emotional trauma, their nervous systems get stuck in the state of fight or flight. There's these special reflex points found all throughout your body that can trigger and modulate that stress response. So I like to rub my hands together in the spirit of Mr. Miyagi, you know, generating some of that life force energy and at the very least some heat.
