The Devil's Fault in the Church
The movie argues that the Spanish Inquisition was actually the devil's fault, not the churches. The demon wanted to slowly work his way up the corporate structure of the church as a demon. He would have had to put in force all of these great societal movements and like global anti-Semitism and shit. You know, it's the perfect crime. That's why the world is evil now ever since then.
