The Riptide
The main title sequence is like a stew of different elements from the score, which would then be deconstructed into its individual parts. The first thing we hear is the fog. And the cloud of doom, it's just sort of low synth drone. Shortly after that comes the bass line, which I know David affectionately referred to as the Riptide. One of the last things I came up with but was really useful was the trumpet. Because the most iconic thing you're seeing in Washington are shots of Lincoln Memorial and the monuments.
