Is There Still a Trade Deal With the United States?
One of the few things to emerge from Liz Truss's premiership was the revelation that there would not be at any point in the near future, a post-Brexit trade deal with the United States. Labour Party does not want to be seen to be reigniting the EU referendum Brexit war again. So do we need to encourage politicians from opposition parties or indeed encourage the Conservatives to address it directly? Or is it a case of waiting until a subsequent election and then simply doing deals with the EU, which bring us closer without reigniting the battle for Britain’s place in the globalised world?, asks Peter Mandelson.
