How to Talk to a Composer

I often lack the language to describe, that's the piece I find really difficult. Often it's somebody they've worked with before and usually what happens is the director has an initial call. And they talk through the story, and then if it feels like everyone's jelling, then you send them the sort of cut. That can be with the interest because they're almost the translator in a way, aren't they? Between the emotion and the technical side of it in a way.
