The participants listen to two simultaneous sentences, one to each ear. Before the sentences, they're given a cue to either attend left or right. And then eventually they have to detect a word in the right ear sentence or the left ear sentence which matches the cue. The psychologist might recognize this flavor of us. Some elements of a classic attention post-no task where you basically cue to one heavy field.
