The Importance of Having a Good Interface

I had an interesting case of this at work yesterday that I will briefly describe, but it was an input field next to a button in line. And they were using a small sized button with a regular size input, so they were not the same height. These were all engineers trying to figure out what is wrong with this picture,. But instead of thinking about the fact that they are using two different size variants in one layout, they sort of thought, oh, this must be a problem with this component input. It's the wrong size next to this button.
