Is There a Tyranny of Nuance?
I think it's absolutely on point the first part of that argument that the kind of tyranny of nuance leads to bad theory. Like you see this in philosophy where people try to pare down the strength of their claims by admitting that it's just one perspective. The more you're in it, I've actually started to really feel it recently and it feels really stifling. Because you're constantly just hedging any possible thing that somebody's going to say and bring up. And that I think stifles creative thinking.
