Is Google Really Interested in Ethics?

Google fired Timney after she sent an email internal to Google that was basically saying, hey look, Google doesn't actually care about ethics. They're just using us as a fig leaf to hide behind. Do you agree with her? "More or less" I want to put one kind of caveat on that. It's if given the choice between being unethical and profitable or ethical and have a revenue neutral quarter. Given the, you know what, it reminds me of Homelander. He goes, I'd rather be loved than hated. But I don't care being hated either.
