Oxana: One of my favorite artists is Kazimir Molyvitch, because he was so connected to Ukraine. I recommend you maybe to Google and find some books and works of Ukrainian art historian Tatiana Fileska. Maria Premachianka is best known for her fantastic animals; many of these animals have a story behind them. She's also interested as not like a native or primitive as some art historians during the Soviet times would call her.
