Is There a Monolith?

I think from my perspective, the reason that I gravitate more towards a monolith is that it's much easier to change those boundaries. For better or for worse, inside a single code base that's being deployed as one unit,. It can be quite still quite cheap and easy to manage in that sense. Although worth noting that even if someone does have a small microservice or, or a big monolith, one potentially common point of failure is if they have shared storage like a database.
