Robin Irving Bane and Margaret Arroa Cullen met through their Presbyterian church in Dunedin. They were very different with David being described as good-natured if a bit serious. Robin, who was very much a dedicated Christian, wanted to work as a missionary. The pair decided to take the huge step of moving to Papua New Guinea.
