Howsean is a novel that set in an alternate 2004, and we have figured out how to resurrect people from from from the dead. Robert Ableson, this character who we meet early on in the book is really he's a man who was very well-recorded in his own time, but he is now living out of time. Howsean is really much, really a book about the past. And so being part of her family, I have been living with this very present memory of him.
