Genghis Khan Part 2: Rise of the Mongols

Real Dictators

CHAPTER

The Legend of Ching-Es-Con

I strongly believe that the whole concept of Ching-es-Con was meant to rule the world. After his death, he essentially becomes a demi-god. I think this came as a way of rationalizing what just happened. How did we do this? Because there's no reason to think that the Mongols should have been able to pull this off. If you're putting money down at Monte Carlo or Las Vegas, who is going to rise in the 13th century? No one would have picked the Mongols.
