A good evangelist doesn't just spout off a few lines of scripture and move on. He or she makes time to be human with another, to see the person before them as a whole, beloved child of god rather than a measured unit of sin. I suspect the christians would have been much were successful in their work if they'd supplied themselves,. not just with scriptural verses, but with true stories about how the promises within scripture became positive realities in their lives.
