The Role of a Palliative Care Service

A palliative care is a great service and they're certainly super knowledgeable, but like every other service in the hospital, they're very busy. If I can keep some stuff off their plate that I don't need them to take over, then I think that works out best for everyone. But there can be kind of pros and cons. Now certainly if you're bad at this, then it's a real plus to be able to refer to someone who's good at it. And those are the things that we are best at as the primary team,. especially if you've been following the patient and managing things.
