The Last and Final Oracle

Balaam says to Balaam, I called you to curse my enemies and behold, you have blessed them these three times. And then he basically tells him, I'm not going to pay you because you didn't do your job. This is similar to Genesis 49 one where Jacob called his sons and said, gather yourselves together that I may tell you what shall happen to you in days to come. So here in, and this prophecy in particular is about what Israel is going to do to Moab. In the next line of the text it's almost like it recalls the vision that Joseph had of the tribes of Israel being like stars bowing down to Joseph.
