The Evil Complaint of Total Utilitarianism
Most of the angry criticism my work on natalism has gotten has been from the child free. So people who philosophically don't want to have kids, which again, if I had been condemning them, then I could see why they'd be mad at me. It is true that if you are a total utilitarian and a lot of smart people feel like they have to be, then the main thing you can do is either be a mouthuzean and just say that we're past our care and capacity, so it's bad to have people.
