Bonus: How Long Will NATO Make Ukraine Wait?
One Decision
Introduction
Julia McFarlane speaks with the Wall Street Journal's National Security Reporter Vivian Salama as she went between meetings towards the end of the NATO summit in Vilnius. She says one of the really striking things that we all noticed when we got here is you're literally seeing more Ukrainian flags hanging up all over the city than you are Lithuanian flags, ironic, but also understandable. Lithuania is a former member of the Soviet Union and it declared its independence after the collapse just like Ukraine did. And so there is a shared history, but also a shared sense that Ukraine's fate could be their fate.
