How Does a High Tech Assembler Work?
The idea is that we have thousands of pins that move up and down. And each one is like a pixel would be on a regular phone or tablet computer. So in a nutshell, that's exactly what we're doing. The reason that this is so difficult is to make a dense object that has all of these pixels that a blind person could feel requires pushing the boundaries of physics and manufacturing.
