When we are obsessive about terminology, it's a very legalistic approach to things. So consent is an example of that like yes means yes, no means no. People can get viciously angry with you if you say consent is a spectrum. And I'm not going to stop calling myself a feminist because somebody thinks it means x or y. It's also a language for me. But the two then impose that word in a way as an example of whether you're a fine upstanding political citizen or not.
She's a filmmaker, feminist, artist, writer -- impossible to pin down, a connoisseur of multitudes.
