The Uncertainty of Science
Most scientists believe there is a true uncertainty at the bottom of quantum mechanics, but it's not proven. You can put up a hypothesis and it can be sort of validated by observations, but you can not guarantee that there isn't something else that would work instead. So science is just a model. It is something much more than the kind of sort of ideas or a model we typically have because it's so well tested. But it is something different from a mathematical or philosophical truth. And I think actually working out what that is is a really interesting sort of intellectual project to me.
