I Love the Music, I Love Juilliard

I feel like my relationship with the violin ended up really, it was kind of similar to your experience. What I cared about or what I spent my time thinking about was the recognition, the validation, the achievement, rather than enjoyment. And in fact, I got so far away from that I couldn't even access that love anymore. The recording studio was where I really felt like, okay, like I'll just try to do this and if it doesn't work, we'll cut it off. That's something I loved.
