I started life as an accountant. I didn't know what I wanted to do and getting sort of a fundamental grounding in accounting seemed like a sensible thing to do. Then I had an opportunity to go and work, as he said, in the software industry, writing special effects software for movies. And so, at the time, I switched to join Rosenberg equities as a software site, as a software developer. That was one of the golden years of quant, was it? I think it was just as we hit LCTM, which I think was the first little wobble that the industry had. We're now in that golden age where we've been banging on about data and models
